Christmas Trays

Today I delivered trays to one of my customers. Each tray contained cinnamon rolls and spice spritz cookies. I shaped the cinnamon rolls into wreath shapes and each center was decorated with sprinkles of holly and berries. The spritz cookies were made using a cookie gun and the centers were filled with buttercream icing.

Apple Cider Time on the Farm

It's October 10th and we had snow this morning! Not quite ready for that, but by early afternoon it was gone, but still very cold. Actually, a perfect day for making apple cider.
Great Granddaughter Sierra enjoyed helping, and of course drinking the cider too.
She went with us yesterday to pick up the apples, which was five bushels in all, and consisted of a variety of apples.

I made these subrolls for meatball subs and used my basic dough recipe. The basic dough recipe is also used for loaves of white bread, as well as Italian bread sticks.

Farmer Market Pies

These are several of the pies I baked today for the Keswick, IA., farmers' market. The two in the front are cherry, and the one in back is peach. The other pies that were baked today included blackberry, caramel pecan, apple, and several small pies.
